GarageEstateSales is a free garage sale and estate sale directory at garageestatesales.com, operated by Noemic. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and name, when you sign up with email and password or with Google.
• Listings and photos: the sale details, addresses, dates, descriptions and photos you post.
• Approximate location: we estimate your general area from your IP address to show nearby sales. Precise location is used only if you click a button to share it.
• Analytics: basic usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser type.

How we use it

• To show listings and run the directory.
• To give you access to your account and let you edit or remove your sales.
• To send sale and alert emails, only if you opt in.
• To keep the site secure and improve it.

Public listings

Listings you post, including the sale address, dates, description and photos, are public and may be seen and indexed by search engines. Do not include information you do not want public. Some listings are imported from public municipal sources and shown with a link to the source.

We do not sell your personal data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting, maps and sign-in), or when required by law.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember your chosen location and search radius, and measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in may not work.

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API for analytics and advertising measurement. For visitors in the United States, this shares page views, searches, sign-ups and sale postings (with your IP address, browser type and Meta cookie IDs) with Meta Platforms. We do not use it for visitors in the EU, UK or Switzerland. You can opt out of ad personalization in your Facebook ad settings or by blocking third-party cookies.

Data deletion

You can remove your own listings from My Sales at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, email support@garageestatesales.com.

Children

The site is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
